Contrary to the popular belief, flying into Nainital region is the fastest way to reach the hill station. The Lake District and the ensuing hills are served by Pant Nagar Airport, located at a distance of two hours from Nainital. It is served only by Jagson airlines. It is one of the least busy airports in the country, handling only 6 scheduled flights a week.
